General Design Fee: $40.00/hr. This applies to all image generation including both computer and traditional drawing/painting on paper or canvas, and any research involved. Computer programs frequently utilized are; Adobe's Photoshop and Illustrator, as well as fractal generators. This fee also applies to document generation with QuarkXpress, unless the document is part of a prearranged template. If special painting material or software is required, an additional fee may be assessed. There is a 50% deposit required for all projects estimated over $100. All projects must undergo a general estimate for labor, time, media, etc., to determine the amount of the deposit before work begins. Once a design is approved, any deviating changes are also subject to this design fee. If a tight budget is involved, greater savings may be achieved by having a good idea of what is desired with regard to images and text before the project begins. If you would like a rush put on the project, it will considerably increase the design fee. *Please note: Communication by phone or e-mail is necessary, and I will let clients know when I require additional information. Time allotted for phone calls to and from clients is included in the billable hours. Usually the time is minor and easily absorbed, but the client should be aware that the longer the designer spends on the phone giving progress reports, the longer it will take to get to work on their project and if excessive, could delay the deadline, or if extreme, cancel the project. Client consideration for both time and choice of topic should be considered. Please be advised that anything in excess of two 15 minute calls a week for a moderately sized project is usually unnecessary. Calls will be monitored for time, and if they exceed 30 minutes a week, they will be both billed and assessed for adjustment to the deadline of the project. Website Design: Base Price Main Page: $400.00 Price Includes: Graphic design (overall look of the site, placement of text and images) Design flow (usability issues, involving links, interactive media) Browser compatibility as it relates to preferred market audience Resizing and optimization of up to 4 JPG images provided by client *I recommend at least 3 images per page* Text based banner design, including logo image provided by client Up to 6 links, (design of additional pages is separate) Troubleshooting for minor problems (less than 2 hours per month) for 3 months Additional pages using the same graphic images and format, text provided by the client, and 6 or less links are $100. Extras: Image based logos, Banners involving generated images, framesets (each target frame counts as a new page, and the frame structures themselves are extra), rollovers, animations, sound and movie clips, and forms. Composition of and redesigning/editing of text more than 25 words per page is extra. Keyword optimization and submission to search engines are also extra.
